Over nine years ago, my passion for coffee led me to want to be self-employed. I started out as a barista and café manager, and later sold coffee products online. I never had the desire to open my own coffee roastery or café. But I still enjoy tracking down trends, writing about coffee and sharing my knowledge.
I have been living abroad from Germany since 2017. First in the USA (Orlando), then in Mexico (Mexico City) and currently in the Czech Republic (Prague). I love to inspire my customers with coffee and send them on a journey of pleasure. My work as a coffee journalist / freelance author and coffee trainer offers exactly the right setting for my coffee passion.
I am a certified barista according to the standards ofSCA and Barista Hustle., I continuously rely on on further training, my own experiments and coffee trips, as well as trusting exchanges with the coffee scene. This way, I always have the latest from the fascinating world of coffee for my customers.
Has Kaffee Meinicke grown up after almost 10 years? Yes and no. Because I always see our favorite drink through a child's eyes. I am constantly trying out and questioning new things. What works particularly well is incorporated into my Texts and Coffee Courses - because, as the saying goes: Life is too short for bad coffee.
